“You need to be able to decide what you want. You need to pick a way to go and just go for it.” When James Vumbaco spoke these words, I think he meant you need to choose what you want in life and have the courage to pour your soul into it and try everything you can to make your wishes come true. Life is about following your dreams. You need to be decisive, not unsure about your opinions and decisions.
“Learning and living in life is equally important as textbook learning.” I think it’s good that Vumbaco recognized and admitted that everything in school and life isn’t just going to come out of a textbook. There are some answers you need to find yourself, and some answers books just can’t give. Life skills can’t be read, you have to discover them and develop them on your own, and they’re just as necessary in everyday life as being able to add and read.
