Blog on a Blog
This is my blog on a blog. Now try saying that five times fast. As some of you may know, my golden retriever, Tyler, is in the hospital right now. When I was reading our assignment of choosing a random blog, reading it, and commenting the author, I had no idea what to do. I really was having trouble focusing enough to do the assignment, because all I could think about was Tyler. So I decided, why not look up blogs about animal hospitals? http://www.animalrightsblog.com/ I came up with this link, and searched the page for a blog I might like to read. The first one made me kind of laugh, because my dog doesn’t have the greatest teeth or breath. So I read “Doggy Dental, Taking Care Of Your Pup’s Pearly Whites”. I learned most dogs don’t like any contact with their mouth. Mine never had a problem with this, so I was caught off guard. You’re supposed to get them used to contact while they’re puppies, so they won’t have problems for the rest of their lives. Well, apparently you’re also supposed to brush your dogs teeth daily. (I’ll have to catch up on that one.) For the safety of your dog, you’ll need to use specialized dog toothpaste, as human’s can be harmful and dangerous to them. Rawhide chews are good to prevent buildup on your dog’s teeth. (And now I realize how behind we are on our dog’s dental care, we never give him those. I thought they weren’t good for dogs…) It’s also recommended to have your veternarian give your dog a nice dental check-up, similar to a humans.

Oh my gosh! I loved Tyler. I am so sorry that he is in the hospital and I hope that everything will be all right. All those things on the dog’s teeth are pretty neat and I never qould have known all that if I didn’t read your blog. Great Job!
I am so sorry that your dog Tyler is in the hospital. I have a dog and he was in the hospital once and i was so sad. I hope he will get better. What is he in the hospital for? My dog swallowed a plastic key toy. He ate it and it got stuck in his intestines. Another time he was dehidrated because he didn’t drink enough so he had to get shots of water ( kinda like an IV) into his skin. He was all lumpy and disgusting!
I have given my dog the denta bone or whatever they are called, and they really help. There teeth turn whiter and there breath smells ALOT better =]. Great job writing the blog. I hope your dog gets better
